Integrating Trees Network

Join us for an informative and engaging evening discussing how to manage your trees to create a quality product.

Tuesday 10th February, 7- 8 pm.

What can I expect?

We’ll hear from:

  • Phil Knott, Wildlife Croft, Skye
  • Ellinor Dobie, Abbey Timber, Abbey St Bathans

Phil and Elinor will discuss ongoing tree management, including:

  • weed control
  • pruning
  • coppicing
  • thinning and chipping

We’ll also have an introduction to the Association of Scottish Hardwood Sawmillers (ASHS) and touch on felling permissions and the harvesting and processing grant.

Andrew Adamson of the award-winning Netherurd Home Farm will discuss the steps he took to help fund his new woodland with support from his local woodland officer.
