Woodland Creation Targets were discussed for 2025/26 woodland creation targets, pending confirmation of the budget settlement. Approximately 10,000 hectares were expected to be approved for 2024/25, though actual planting may be lower due to attrition.

Website Redevelopment Project - the new website passed its Digital Scotland Service Standard (DSSS) Discovery assessment with no recommendations. Key features include user-centred design, emergency feature cards, and streamlined visual design.

Reduction in the Working Week. A staff survey on the 35-hour working week showed a 78% response rate and positive feedback, especially on the wellbeing hour.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) A new EDI Manager has been appointed at Forestry and Land Scotland, with shared time for Scottish Forestry. The EDI Action Plan will be reviewed and updated. The gender pay gap action was deferred to 2030 due to financial constraints.

Women into Leadership. Plans to establish a Women’s Network within Scottish Forestry were discussed.
