A Scoping Opinion request for consent under the Forestry (Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 for woodland creation at Snar has been submitted to Central Conservancy by Euroforest Silviculture (formerly Pryor & Rickett Silviculture) on behalf of Gresham House Forest Growth and Sustainability LP.
Snar is located to the south west of Crawfordjohn in South Lanarkshire.
The whole property is circa 653 ha with circa 330 ha being proposed for woodland creation comprising of Sitka spruce, Norway spruce, Douglas fir, Scots pine, native broadleaves and open ground.
