A Scoping Opinion request for consent under the Forestry (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 for woodland creation at Glen Dye Moor has been submitted to Grampian Conservancy by Scottish Woodlands Ltd on behalf of Par Forestry IV L.P.
The proposal is for 2,755ha of woodland creation comprised of native broadleaves, native pinewood, commercial conifer and natural regeneration located approximately 14km southwest of Banchory, Aberdeenshire and encompasses the hills of Badymicks, Edendocher, and Clachnaben.

EIA report
Scottish Woodlands Ltd has submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report to Scottish Forestry relating to this EIA forestry project.
We will consult on this report for a period of 44 days, to Wednesday 21st January 2026. The statutory 30 days consultation period was extended due to office closures over the festive period.
The report has been redacted under Regulation 10(5)(g) of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004. This makes provision for environmentally sensitive information to be withheld if its release would harm the subject of the information.
